National Stock Exchange
Also called NSE, National Stock Exchange of India.
India's largest stock exchange by turnover, and the venue where most equity and derivative volume is transacted.
It publishes the index methodology documents that govern how the main Indian indices are constructed and rebalanced, which is the authoritative source for questions about index inclusion.
Outside the scheduled review, index changes are reserved for corporate events such as mergers, demergers and delistings. Discretionary judgement plays no part.
Both major exchanges list most large companies, and prices differ only trivially.
