National Stock Exchange

M0.02

Also called NSE, National Stock Exchange of India.

India's largest stock exchange by turnover, and the venue where most equity and derivative volume is transacted.

It publishes the index methodology documents that govern how the main Indian indices are constructed and rebalanced, which is the authoritative source for questions about index inclusion.

Index changes outside the scheduled review are reserved for genuine corporate events such as mergers, demergers and delistings, rather than discretionary judgement.

Both major exchanges list most large companies, and prices differ only trivially.
