Refund policy
The Analyst’s Path · last updated 29 July 2026
Cancel any time. If you were charged for a month you didn’t use, write to us and we’ll refund it. That’s the policy; the rest of this page is just detail.
Status at launch: ad-free is not on sale yet, so nothing on this site can be bought today and no charge can arise. This page describes the policy that will apply from the day it goes on sale; the price and the terms below are fixed in advance so there are no surprises.
What you can actually buy here
One thing: ad-free, at ₹100 a month in India or about $1.50 a month elsewhere (₹1,000 a year if you prefer to pay once). It removes the short advert shown before you open a module. It does not unlock anything, because nothing is locked, every module, every case, every drill, every code exercise and cross-device sync are free for everyone, whether they pay or not.
This matters for refunds: if we refund you, you lose nothing but the ad removal. Your progress, your notes, your review queue and your account all carry on exactly as before. A refund here is not a door closing.
Cancelling
- Cancel from Account → Ad-free, at any time, without asking anyone.
- You keep ad-free until the end of the month you’ve already paid for. We don’t switch it off the second you click cancel, you paid for that month and it is yours.
- Nothing renews after that. There is no notice period and no exit fee.
Refunds
We’ll refund, no argument needed, if:
- You were charged for a month you didn’t use. You forgot to cancel, or you didn’t realise it was still running. Write to us and we’ll send it back.
- You were charged twice, or charged after cancelling.
- Ad-free didn’t work, you paid and kept seeing ads, and we couldn’t fix it quickly.
- You changed your mind within 7 days of your first payment, for any reason or none.
Outside those cases, ask anyway. It is ₹100. We would rather refund you and part on good terms than win an argument about a hundred rupees.
How to ask
Email the address on the contact page from the address on your account, and tell us roughly which charge you mean. You do not need the invoice number, though it helps, every charge you have ever made is listed under Account → Receipts.
We aim to reply within 3 working days and to approve or explain within 7. Once approved, the money goes back the way it came: Razorpay refunds typically land in 5–7 working days, card refunds through Lemon Squeezy in 5–10. That timing belongs to the banks, not to us; we release the refund the day we approve it.
What happens to ad-free when a refund goes through
It switches off when the refund is processed. A refunded month is a month that wasn’t paid for, so continuing to honour it would mean giving away something we’ve just agreed we weren’t owed. Everything else, every module, all your work, is untouched, because none of it was ever conditional on paying.
Failed payments
If a renewal fails, ad-free stays on for a week while your bank and the payment provider retry. You are not billed for that week and nothing is held against you. If it still hasn’t gone through by the end of it, the ads come back and that is the entire consequence. See Terms § Renewals.
Chargebacks
You are entitled to raise one with your bank, and we won’t hold it against your account. We’d just rather you emailed us first, it is faster for you, and a chargeback costs us a fee several times the size of the payment being disputed.
International buyers
Outside India, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, who are the merchant of record, they are the seller on your statement and they handle your local sales tax. Refunds still start here: write to us and we’ll process it through them. Their invoice for your purchase is linked from your receipt.
